Credit Analyst

You will be required to assist in all aspects of credit assessment and loan analysis within the mortgage broking process, which may at times extend beyond the duties listed below. You will be responsible for conducting detailed credit assessments, analysing client financial information, preparing supporting documents and liaising with clients, BDMs and internal stakeholders to support both residential and commercial loan applications efficiently. This will require you to review financials, order valuations and credit reports, manage any requests for further information from lenders and ensure all credit submissions meet policy and compliance standards.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct detailed credit analysis and assess client financial information for both residential and commercial loans.
- Prepare serviceability and cash flow calculations using lender calculators.
- Analyse company financial statements, tax returns, and BAS statements for commercial credit assessments.
- Package loans from submission to settlement, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, and lenders to obtain and clarify information as required.
- Prepare credit submissions, recommendation notes and supporting documentation for lender submission.
- Order valuations, credit reports and supporting documents.
- Track applications, manage outstanding conditions and follow up with lenders to ensure timely approvals.
- Prepare NCCP and lender application documents and conduct post-settlement follow-ups as needed.

Requirements:
- A higher education degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the Australian lending industry with exposure to both residential (70%) and commercial (30%) loans.
- Experience in ApplyOnline, AFG Flex, or similar loan origination systems is essential.
- Strong understanding of Australian lender policies and the ability to stay up to date with policy and market movements.
- Experience in assessing financial statements and complex income scenarios is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of major bank and non-bank lender processes will be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). You will be required to deal with clients, lenders and brokers daily.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. The ability to think outside the box and a strong desire to solve problems is required for this position
