About the role

As the Internal Audit Specialist at Hospitality Resources Inc', you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial and operational processes. This full-time position is based in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and will involve working closely with the finance and accounting teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and the reliability of financial reporting
  2. Identifying and analysing potential risk areas within the organisation and recommending corrective actions
  3. Documenting audit findings and preparing detailed reports for management
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor the implementation of corrective measures
  5. Providing guidance and training to employees on best practices in internal controls and compliance
  6. Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices

What we're looking for

  1. At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Knowledge of the Opera system
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  5. Proficient in the use of data analysis and audit software tools
  6. Detailed knowledge of accounting principles, internal control frameworks, and industry regulations
