Jr. IT Project Manager

The IT Project & Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT projects—from initiation to implementation—while ensuring alignment with business goals and optimal service delivery. This role will require a strong blend of project management expertise, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and technical acumen to drive the success of IT initiatives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project and Service Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring timely execution, quality output, and alignment with business needs.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources effectively.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, development, support) to ensure cohesive delivery and integration of systems.
• Monitor project KPIs, milestones, and overall performance; provide regular updates to leadership.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders.
• Define and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with business analysts, clients, and product owners to gather and translate business requirements into project plans.

Resource and Team Management

• Lead and allocate tasks to internal project teams, ensuring optimal capacity planning and resource utilization.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support professional growth and project success.
• Oversee team performance, resolve conflicts, and ensure collaborative work dynamics.

Quality Assurance

• Enforce quality standards and ensure project deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
• Apply best practices and project management methodologies to ensure high delivery standards.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned for future improvement.

Risk and Issue Management

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
• Develop contingency and mitigation plans to minimize impact on delivery.
• Escalate critical risks and ensure timely resolution through coordination with leadership.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and service delivery.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends.
• Recommend tools and approaches to enhance productivity, team efficiency, and project outcomes.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in IT Project Management or Service Delivery
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within the logistics or shipping industry

Certifications (Preferred):

• PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile/Scrum (CSM/PSM)

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Trello, or similar
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and service delivery processes
• Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps practices, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
