About the role

A Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring comfort.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to capture high-quality images of specific areas of the body as per the physician's orders.
  • Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Follow protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self, adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including images, reports, and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing any concerns or discomfort during the imaging process.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology, including new techniques and equipment.

What we're looking for

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and a valid license as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or medical imaging facility
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of radiographic equipment and performing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols and procedures
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
