Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical systems (pumps, compressors, HVAC components, conveyors) and plumbing systems (pipes, drains, fixtures) in a facility.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance: clean, inspect, replace parts, troubleshoot leaks, mechanical failures.
  • Ensure mechanical/plumbing systems comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors for major overhaul works, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Maintain maintenance records/logs, ordering of parts/materials, monitoring costs.
  • Occasionally support general facility repair works: fixtures, carpentry, building systems.

Qualifications

  • Certification in mechanical or plumbing trade, or vocational diploma.
  • Experience (2-5 years) in mechanical or plumbing systems maintenance.
  • Good understanding of mechanical equipment, piping, HVAC/utility systems, plumbing fixtures.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, perform measurements, use tools.
  • Physical stamina and willingness to handle onsite maintenance.
