Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce detailed joinery and cabinet drawings, elevations, and layouts using CAD or equivalent software.
  • Collaborate with the design team and estimator to ensure drawings reflect the client's vision, project scope and material specifications.
  • Ensure drawings reflect correct dimensions, hardware details, cabinetry construction methods, and integration with appliances and services.
  • Review drawings with production/installation teams, rectify any discrepancies and update documentation accordingly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers/sub-contractors for specification and inclusion of hardware, benchtops, doors, hinges, fixtures.
  • Assist in take-offs and bill-of-materials for joinery/cabinetry components.
  • Ensure drawing files and documentation are kept up to date, stored correctly and accessible to project teams.
  • Participate in site visits (as required) to verify dimensions, resolve on-site issues and update drawings accordingly.
  • Work to project timelines to support on-time delivery and installation readiness.
  • Adhere to company quality, safety and workmanship standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Interior Design, Cabinet Making, Architectural Drafting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (e.g., 2-5 years) producing joinery/cabinet drawings, preferably for kitchens or interior renovation projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, CabinetVision, 2020 Design or similar) and good drawing presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of cabinetry/manufacturing processes, hardware, material finishes and joinery construction.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in drawings and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills—able to liaise with designers, project managers, installers and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, well-presented and team oriented.
  • Able to work under deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.
