Job Purpose

The Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role provides leadership to the AP team, drives process improvements, and ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, supporting Alaska Milk Corporation's operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Supervise and mentor the Accounts Payable team, ensuring high performance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workload, and provide training to team members.
  • Invoice & Payment Processing
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
  • Ensure proper matching of invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
  • Compliance & Controls
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Reconcile AP transactions with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare AP reports and metrics for management review.
  • Vendor Management
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers; resolve complex inquiries and disputes.
  • Negotiate payment terms to optimize cash flow.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and implement best practices.
  • Support ERP system enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Month-End & Audit Support
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and provide documentation for internal/external audits.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role (preferably in FMCG or manufacturing).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office (Excel advanced level).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
