Reports To: Engineering / Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

The RAC (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems within a corporate tower. This includes managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating with building management to ensure optimal HVAC performance for tenant comfort and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of RAC technicians, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split-type and package-type units.
  • Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure the continuous operation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Ensure HVAC systems are operating within compliance of local regulations (e.g., DENR, DOLE, DOH), and environmental standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of work orders, maintenance logs, and service reports.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized HVAC services or equipment procurement.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assist in budget planning for HVAC system upgrades, tools, and spare parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems and building areas to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure safety practices are strictly followed in all HVAC operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer or have a relevant TESDA NC II/NC III in RAC Servicing.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/R systems, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including VRF/VRV, chillers, and building automation systems (BAS/BMS).
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in varying environmental conditions.
