Job Summary:
Provides high-quality nursing care and support to patients for consultation, undergoing medical diagnostic evaluations/ procedures, vaccinations, minor surgeries, and the like. This role involves clinical assessment, patient education, preparation for diagnostic procedures, and coordination with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform patient assessments including vital signs, medical history, and symptoms relevant to diagnostic testing.
● Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures such as DRE, ECG, Pap Smear, and other specialized diagnostics.
● Administer medications/ vaccines as required under physician orders.
● Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures and respond to patient needs throughout the process.
● Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure for any adverse reactions or complications.
● Educate patients and their families about diagnostic procedures, what to expect, and post-procedure care.
● Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in patient records.
● Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, laboratory technicians, and administrative staff to streamline diagnostic workflows.
● Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions to the Clinic Nurse Supervisor or with the Laboratory Head.
● Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
● Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives related to patient diagnostics.
● Keep track of all the medical inventory which includes medicines, medical supplies & equipment & vaccines.
● Provide First Aid treatment
Qualifications:
Education:
● Registered Nurse (RN)
Experience:
● Minimum 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
● Experience in a diagnostic, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
Certifications:
● BFAT (Basic First Aid Training) certification required.
● BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
● With Certification on BOSH for Nurses Optional.
Skills & Competencies:
● Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
● Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
● Ability to remain calm and professional during high-stress situations.
● Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
● Computer literate
● Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Employment Type:
Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
