Overview:

As the Accounting Head at Sapphiregate Philippines Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the accounting department. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the company's financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to optimize financial efficiency and profitability.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Review and approve financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for management, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax filings.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to resolve tax-related issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, implementing necessary updates to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial goals, strategies, and plans for the company's growth and expansion.
  • Provide financial expertise and support for strategic initiatives, investments, and acquisitions, evaluating potential risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php50,000.00 per month
