Job Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for executing sourcing and contracting strategies to deliver cost savings and enhance service quality across the organization. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure sourcing efforts align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify sourcing opportunities and develop contracting plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to utilize spend, market, and commodity data to drive cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct supply chain risk assessments to ensure supply continuity and minimize risks.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and evaluate potential suppliers using data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial teams during the contract lifecycle.
  • Draft contract scopes, terms, and templates, while managing risk exposure.
  • Lead negotiations, aligning strategies with relevant stakeholders including legal and technical teams.
  • Engage key departments (e.g., finance, insurance, safety, logistics) to support negotiation planning.
  • Analyze spending, supplier capabilities, and market trends to guide sourcing decisions.
  • Prepare negotiation frameworks, including goals and fallback plans.
  • Conduct financial assessments of bids, validate technical reviews, and support award recommendations.
  • Lead contract implementation and ensure key stakeholders are aligned.
  • Oversee supplier relationships and address issues related to deliveries, payments, or terms.
  • Support performance evaluations and contribute to vendor improvement efforts.
  • Report progress to the Supply Chain team to ensure alignment and support savings goals.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Operations and other SCM units for seamless strategy execution.
  • Manage renewals, renegotiations, and resource planning for ongoing contracts.
  • Actively contribute to overall SCM objectives and success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain or related functions
  • Bachelor's degree in business, behavioral sciences, or technical field (engineering preferred)
  • Engineering or technical background is a plus
  • Proven experience in project management and supply risk mitigation
