  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process and record incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Help in analyzing financial data and preparing reports on profitability, cash flow, and expenses.

  • Provide support in monthly closing processes.

  • General Ledger Maintenance:

  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Ensure accurate classification of financial transactions.

  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Bank and Cash Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash accounts.

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in account balances.

  • Tax and Compliance:

  • Assist with tax reporting and preparation (e.g., VAT, sales tax, income tax).

  • Help ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

  • Record Keeping:

  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files.

  • Ensure proper documentation for all transactions and financial activities.

  • Audit Support:

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial data during audits.

  • Accounting Software and Systems:

  • Use accounting software to record transactions, generate reports, and track financial activities.

  • Help improve the efficiency of accounting systems and processes.

  • Other Accounting Duties:

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial reports and other ad-hoc reports for management.
  • Provide assistance to senior accountants or other departments as necessary.
  • Ensure that any cash fund or equipment (if any) in your responsibility must have proper documentation and safe and secure storage.

  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned in the exigency of the service.
