Job Summary:

The Trade Marketing Supervisor is responsible for executing tactical marketing initiatives and in-store activations that drive brand visibility and product conversion at the point of sale. This role oversees the daily operations of promo assistants and tactical marketing coordinators to ensure consistent brand representation, optimal product placement, and the successful rollout of trade marketing programs across retail and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Tactical Execution & Activations

  • Plan, implement, and monitor in-store activations, promotions, and merchandising campaigns in line with the brand and sales objectives.
  • Coordinate with sales and brand teams to align trade marketing efforts with national campaigns and regional market needs.
  • Supervise the execution of marketing collaterals and point-of-sale materials in retail environments.

Team Supervision

  • Lead and manage a team of promodisers and tactical coordinators.
  • Conduct regular field visits to evaluate team performance, store compliance, and execution quality.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for field personnel to maintain a high standard of execution.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report on the effectiveness of trade activities, including sales lift, brand visibility, and return on investment.
  • Analyze market and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement or new initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field execution and inventory movement.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and brand marketing teams to ensure effective implementation of marketing programs.
  • Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and retail partners to coordinate events and promotional executions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, field marketing, or a related area.
  • Proven experience in supervising field teams (e.g., promo assistants, merchandising staff).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
