A Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, or technical systems. They provide technical support, perform routine servicing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure systems operate efficiently. The role requires both technical knowledge and strong customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Commissioning
  • Install new equipment or systems at client sites.
  • Set up hardware/software configurations and ensure proper functioning.
  • Conduct system testing and calibration.
  • Maintenance and Servicing
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure machines or systems remain in good condition.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance checks.
  • Replace worn or faulty components before failures occur.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs
  • Diagnose technical problems and determine the root cause.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using tools and equipment.
  • Ensure minimal downtime during repair activities.
  • Technical Support
  • Provide on-site or remote support to clients.
  • Guide customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain service logs and technical records.
  • Prepare service reports detailing problems, solutions, and maintenance performed.
  • Update manuals or documentation as needed.
  • Compliance and Safety
  • Follow all health and safety regulations during servicing.
  • Ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
  • Adhere to environmental policies and best practices.
  • Training and Customer Interaction
  • Train clients on equipment operation and best practices.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and technical team.
  • Spare Parts Management
  • Manage inventory of tools and spare parts.
  • Recommend or order necessary replacements in advance.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated with new technologies and product developments.
  • Suggest improvements to service methods or equipment design.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field).
  • Experience in equipment maintenance and technical support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willing to extend extra hours if needed

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • 8hours to 10 hours shift
