Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple SME entities under a sub-group of the firm. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, timely reporting, compliance with government regulations, and continuous improvement of accounting systems and procedures.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience in general accounting, taxation, and financial management, and is comfortable working in a dynamic shared-services setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting operations for multiple companies under a sub-group.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies and controls.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff and bookkeepers.
  • Coordinate with management, auditors, and external consultants for financial and tax matters.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of accounting workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 to 6 years of solid accounting experience, preferably with exposure to SME or shared services environments.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, taxation, and team supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • CPA license not required, but an advantage.

  • Work Schedule: Onsite, Mondays to Fridays
