The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of the company's diverse portfolio of hospitality venues. This role involves managing daily accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading the month-end close process, and developing financial controls. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Month-End Close & Reconciliations
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Oversee reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and other key accounts.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in partnership with department heads.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and insights.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work to streamline accounting procedures and automate tasks as possible.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve billing issues and maintain strong relationships.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operational and strategic needs.
  • Assist with treasury management activities, including the optimization of working capital.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Partner with operational and departmental teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Prior experience in an Accounting Manager or similar supervisory role is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and adept at handling multiple priorities.
