The Accounting Manager typically includes supervising Accounting Departments, preparing reports for company leads, and developing standards and processes for proper financial management.

The Accounting Manager is an essential part of the company's financial management team, overseeing organizational systems for gathering data, analyzing information, confirming the accuracy of their staff's reports, and providing recommendations for improving accounting methods. An important part of an Accounting Manager's role is understanding all types of financial operations at a company and how they work together, including debts, assets, cash forecasting, payroll, capital assets, and revenue analysis.

Likewise, the Accounting Manager guides the implementation of new financial initiatives and generates reports to share progress with their teams. The Accounting Manager may also make suggestions on the company's overall strategies to meet goals concerning its financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Monitor Financial Systems: Accounting managers create, monitor, and evaluate financial systems within their organizations. They collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information to document firms' financial performance and position companies to make well-informed financial decisions.
  • Meet Financial Objectives: Accounting managers recommend forecasting requirements, draft annual budgets, and project expenditures to prepare periodic statements and meet financial regulatory requirements. They analyze general ledger variances and suggest corrective action for management's approval to meet annual accounting financial objectives.
  • Achieve Operational Objectives: These professionals develop action plans, audit operations, and propose efficiency improvements. Skilled accounting managers lead the accounting team to provide accurate, timely data and recommendations.
  • Monitor Revenue and Expenses: An accounting manager ensures companies' financial well-being by tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data, preparing special reports, maintaining internal controls and other best practices, and reporting activity to internal and external customers.
  • Lead Accounting Staff: Included in the accounting manager's purview is recruiting, hiring, and supervising accounting staff. They also conduct performance evaluations, coordinate training programs, and identify training needs.

Other related tasks:

  • Planning, implementing, and supervising the company's financial strategy
  • Managing the company's financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
  • Handling the company's transactions and debts and doing cash flow forecasting
  • Performing the company's financial audits
  • Following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives
  • Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data
  • Creating financial reports based on data analysis
  • Making recommendations to business stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
  • Experience with accounting software and databases
  • Superior data management and data analysis skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
  • Work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, preferably 2 or more years
  • CPA is an advantage but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php67, Php77,000.00 per month
