Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and webhook integrations using Python.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).
  • Integrate APIs with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following API design best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to integrate APIs into web applications.
  • Manage source code using Git and follow version control best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing API integrations for performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation of API endpoints and integration workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience in API development, Python, and AWS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Willing and able to work onsite at our Pasay City HQ
  • Open for Project based employment (initial 6 months w/ possibility of extension)

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience with API integrations (REST APIs, webhooks)
  • Proficient in Python for API development
  • Experience with authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT, API keys)
  • Understanding of AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB)
  • Proficiency in Git version control
  • Solid knowledge of API design principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with JSON/XML data formats
  • Exposure to web app development

Nice-to-Have Skill

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Domain knowledge in logistics or e-commerce
  • Experience with AWS Amplify
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures
  • Knowledge of AWS Step Functions, SQS, Glue, Redshift, Athena
  • Exposure to data engineering concepts
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia)
