Job Title: General Accountant Overview

The General Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role involves both day-to-day accounting tasks and specialized duties related to tax planning, reporting, and filing.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor internal controls and support audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP/IFRS standards.

Tax Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Research and interpret current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in tax planning and strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
  • Maintain and organize tax records for internal and external review.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors when necessary.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger systems.
  • Understanding of payroll and sales tax compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
