Accounting Officer ensures that accounting records and entries are maintained in accordance with existing procedures, policies and regulations. Related accounting ledgers are appropriately reconciled. He/she also prepare accurate reports and submits these within the required period to clients, internal units, and to regulatory bodies (e.g BSP, BIR and SEC). The Accounting Officer acts as Trust systems coordinator. He/She also assists in monitoring and coordination of income and expenses of the Trust Group. He/She ensures that accounting audit requirements are being attended to.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting Records and Entries

  • Review and sign accounting tickets and reports
  • Ensure completeness of all accounting records and book entries for each trust, other fiduciary and investment management accounts (IMA) in accordance with existing policies and procedures and other regulatory bodies
  • Ensure accurate and timely computation of Net Asset Per Unit or NAVPU

Accounting Reporting and Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor reserve requirements and performance bond of Trust Group and ensure that these are within the required limits set by BSP
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely submission of reports to client and regulatory bodies such as the BSP, BIR, etc.
  • Supervise compliance to external audit requests to ensure timely submission of external audit's opinion
  • Observe established operational controls and procedures, as well as comply with the Bank's policies and regulatory issuances at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or any equivalent course
  • At least 3 years' experience in Trust Accounting
