About the role

As the Purchasing Manager at PRIMA TECH PHILS., INC.', you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support the company's manufacturing operations. This is a full-time role based in Calamba City Laguna. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of the materials needed to drive the company's production goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support the company's production and inventory requirements
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing
  • Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential vendors
  • Monitor and analyse purchasing trends and data to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations
  • Manage and mentor the purchasing team to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
