What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of purchase orders, requisitions and other procurement documentation
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and coordinate deliveries
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels to identify re-ordering requirements
- Supporting the preparation of procurement reports and providing administrative support to the purchasing team
- Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with experience in a purchasing or procurement support role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with manufacturing, transport or logistics industry practices and procedures
