A.  Job Specifications/Requirements

  1. Minimum Educational Attainment : College graduate.  Certified Public Accountant
  2. Preferred Course/Training Registration: B.S. Accountancy
  3. Gender : Male/Female
  4. Specific Area(s) of experience needed: General  accounting, must be familiar with BIR system, EFPS and internal computerized system.
  5. Length of experience required: at least 5-10 years work experience in the same field/industry
  6. Specific Abilities, skills, personal qualities required: Computer literate, proficient in MS Excel, analytical, good communication skills, personable, disciplined, detailed and organized.

B.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze all Balance Sheet accounts schedules prepared by staff; together with Chief Accountant, conducts quarterly review of accounts.
  2. Reviews Income Statement accounts, generates report and endorses to  Chief Accountant for final review and submission to Chief Operations Officer..
  3. Monitors capital expenditures and once project is completed, updates lapsing schedule of depreciation of fixed assets for depreciation set up.
  4. Reviews accounting entries booked by Accounting Assistants in Payment Vouchers, Cash Receipts, Journal Vouchers, etc.
  5. Ensures all costs are identified and accurately recorded to proper accounts.
  6. Prepares all recurring and necessary adjusting entries in Journal Vouchers for approval of Chief Accountant.
  7. Reviews work of Accounting Assistants before approval of Chief Accountant (Payment Vouchers, GL schedules, BIR Mandatory

Reports, etc.).

  1. Coordinates with Credit and Collections on adjustments on installment receivables for revenue recognition
  2. Prepares and analyze Bank Reconciliation Statements of the company.
  3. Monitors and prepares reconciliation schedules of Advances made to and from mother company.
  4. Provides HR updated estimates of tax deduction on employees' compensation.
  5. Ensures that   the following annual BIR Reports are prepared , paid/filed on time:
  6. Withheld Tax , Expanded and Compensation
  7. Value Added Tax
  8. Summary List of Sales and Purchases
  9. Summary Alphalist of Withholding Tax at Source
  10. Documentary Stamp Tax

  11. Income Tax

    1. Assists the Chief Accountant with the external auditors' requirements during Audit activities.

  12. Coordinates with each department on the documents required by the Auditor; checks/review documents submitted by the departments

  13. Ensures that all requirements for submission to auditors are provided within the agreed timeline.

  14. Coordinate with external auditors timely submission/filing of filed ITR and Audited Financial Statements to BIR and SEC.

  15. Reviews process and documentations that will subject the company to BIR audit, LGU scrutiny/tax map.
  16. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
