About the role

As the Accounting Supervisor at International Marketing Group (IMG) Insurance Brokers Corp.', you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions for our Makati City Metro Manila office. This is a full-time position that will involve leading a team of accountants in ensuring accurate and timely financial records, along with providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervising and mentoring a team of accountants to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
  2. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as other reports for management and external stakeholders
  3. Analysing financial data to identify trends, provide recommendations and support decision-making
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies
  5. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives
  7. Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systems

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified accountant with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the financial accounting and reporting function, preferably in the insurance industry
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  4. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  6. Ability to lead and develop a team, while also working independently to achieve goals
  7. Problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical approach to financial management
