Senior Website Designer

Join Butterfly, a Melbourne-based digital agency, as a UX/UI Designer. You'll design websites, apps, and digital platforms that combine beautiful interfaces with seamless user experiences. We're now looking for a talented Website Designer in the Philippines to join us remotely and help shape exceptional digital experiences.

You'll work closely with our Melbourne-based design and development teams to bring websites to life — from wireframe to final handoff. This role is perfect for a creative thinker who understands the power of visual storytelling and UX, and who takes pride in pixel-perfect delivery. You'll collaborate on a wide range of projects across different sectors, and your work will directly contribute to platforms that make a positive difference in the world.

This role is being recruited by Clarke Point ), a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor.

• You have a strong portfolio that showcases website design work — ideally for agencies, purpose-led brands, or non-profits
• You're fluent in Figma (bonus points for an interest in interactive design to help bring elements to life)
• You understand responsive design and have experience designing for web across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• You're confident working with established design systems, but not afraid to push creative boundaries
• You're a great communicator — able to take feedback, ask smart questions, and work independently
• You care about accessibility, usability, and creating inclusive digital experiences

• Design responsive websites and digital experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Conduct and translate user research into design concepts, wireframes, and prototypes
• Deliver polished UI designs using Figma, preparing design assets for development handover
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and clients to bring creative ideas to life
• Apply accessibility (WCAG) and best-practice design standards
• Maintain consistent brand execution across all screens and devices
• Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving thoughtful feedback
• Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and accessibility standards

• Strong portfolio showcasing responsive website design (purpose-led brands or non-profits a bonus)
• Solid hands-on experience in Figma for design and developer handoff
• Solid understanding and application of UX principles and how they apply to web design
• Proven attention to detail and consistency in layout, typography, and branding
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams from research through delivery
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively with a distributed team
• Reliable internet connection and your own computer setup

• Experience working with Australian or international clients
• Familiarity with systems thinking and designing complex workflows
• Understanding of modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS)
• Previous agency or client-facing experience
• Knowledge of design systems and scalable frameworks

This role is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor with the following additional perks:

• Philippine Regular Holidays: 100% pay if not worked; 200% pay if worked.
• Philippine Special Non-Working Holidays: Additional 30% pay if worked.
• Birthday leave + 12 vacation days/year after probation
• Vacation Leave: 12 days per year, granted upon successful completion of the probation period.
• Sick Leave: 6 days per year, available annually.
• Health Insurance Allowance: ₱2,500 per month provided toward family health insurance after the probation period.

Butterfly is based in Melbourne, Australia, thus the work hours will follow Melbourne time (GMT +10) with some flexibility.
