The Role

As a Senior Web + Graphic Designer, you will be the visual storyteller for our brand, bridging the gap between graphic design and web development. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics for both digital and print mediums, as well as designing and improving user-friendly, responsive websites. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand identity, engaging our audience, and achieving our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Web Design (60%)

  • Design and prototype responsive, user-centric websites, landing pages and ecommerce sites from concept to completion using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate translation of designs into functional web pages, providing assets and guidance.
  • Conduct website updates, refreshes, and A/B tests to optimize user experience (UX) and conversion rates.
  • Ensure all web design is optimized for speed, scalability, and SEO best practices.
  • Keep up with web design trends

Graphic Design (40%)

  • Develop a wide range of marketing and branding materials, including social media graphics, digital ads, email templates, infographics, and presentations.
  • Design for print collateral such as brochures, flyers, business cards, and promotional items when needed.
  • Uphold and evolve our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all visual touchpoints.
  • Edit and retouch photographs and other imagery for use across platforms using traditional design tools as well as AI tools

General

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through delivery, while meeting deadlines.
  • Present and articulate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest design trends, technologies, and industry best practices.

What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)

Required:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in graphic/multimedia design or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a combined web and graphic design role.
  • Able to present concept visualization through sketches, drawings and illustrations.
  • Capable of integrating technical and visual solutions into a design concept.
  • Good sense of layout, typography, and color harmony.
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, well organized, and result-oriented, with an eye for details.
  • Competent in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in both web design (showing UX/UI thinking) and graphic design.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools (e.g., Figma or Adobe XD).
  • Solid understanding of web design principles, including responsive design, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience preparing design assets for developers and understanding the basics of front-end development (HTML/CSS is a plus, but not required to code).
  • Excellent command in the English language, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism and iterate on designs.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro).
  • Experience with WordPress.
  • Knowledge of UX research methodologies.
