We're on the look out for a hands-on, detail-loving bakery leader to keep our dough rising and our ovens firing.

  • Will be responsible for producing and monitoring staffing levels based on daily production needs, ensuring we have the right team in place to deliver top-tier artisan bakes.
  • You'll organize supplies and resources to support smooth, efficient operations while maintaining the high craft and quality standards.
  • Recipe development and testing will be part of the creative toolkit—collaborate with the team to refine and innovate, all in pursuit of that perfect crumb.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a production schedule that aligns with customer orders and Bread Ahead's gold-standard requirements—because precision is the secret ingredient.
  • Organise daily and weekly staff rotas, balancing holiday requests with production flow like a well-laminated croissant—layered, flexible, and buttery-smooth.
  • Oversee the production of customer orders from stores and direct clients, ensuring every bake gets the love it deserves.
  • Make sure the production schedule is clear, accessible, and circulating efficiently
  • Identify and communicate customer special requests so the team knows exactly what to prioritise—and when.
  • Prioritise bread dough prep like a true pro. After all, it's the foundation of everything we do—and timing is everything.
  • Order supplies in tune with the needs of the business and the limits of our storage—because smart storage is half the battle.
