Job Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in creating and running detailed test plans and checklists to make sure complex software works properly.
  • Perform hands-on testing to find bugs, errors, or performance problems.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to understand what the software should do and make sure everything gets tested.
  • Write clear and useful notes, reports, and other documents related to testing.
  • Take part in reviewing what the product is supposed to do and making sure it's clearly explained.
  • Make sure the team follows agreed quality standards and best practices.
  • If any quality steps are skipped, explain the risks and possible problems to the team and managers.
  • Be able to work well on your own or with the team, showing initiative and responsibility.
  • Keep track of any bugs or issues found during testing and make sure they're fixed.
  • Check that the product meets the requirements and works as expected.
  • If requirements aren't clear, work with the Product team to figure out what needs to be tested.
  • Make sure each task or feature is truly finished before it's marked as done.
  • Share test results with the team so everyone knows what's working and what needs fixing.
  • Let the team know right away if something is blocking progress.
  • Share useful feedback during team review meetings to help improve the process.
