Job Description:

is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This position requires technical expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to perform preventive maintenance and comply with all safety and environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on trucks and trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake jobs, tire repairs, and tune-ups.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, steering systems, drivetrains, and suspension components.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Order and replace parts as needed and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures.
  • Assist in road calls or emergency repairs when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and other team members regarding repair status and vehicle condition.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or TESDA Certificate (NC I/NC II Automotive servicing)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as truck mechanic.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • May require occasional road service or emergency repair calls.
  • Exposure to noise, grease, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
