QA/QC Engineer

QA/QC Engineer's job responsibilities and duties are but not limited to, Review and understand construction plans, specifications, and drawings. · Participate in site investigations and data collection. Helps analyzing and qualifying an organization's product to ensures quality and safety in projects managing the quality assurance and quality control programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare, arrange, and test all materials and equipment prior to, during, and after construction project activities;
• Request sample materials/requirements for testing from each project supplier;
• Arrange testing and submit collected test results in a timely manner for every activity;
• Create and maintain an updated database of all testing requirements and results as needed for all projects to ensure timely billing/collection and project turnover;
• Must be present during material/equipment testing and collaborate closely with the procurement, operations, and construction departments, as well as the supplier & client;
• May be tasked to be involved in procurement activities relative to materials/equipment;
• Create, update and maintain the project submittals/log and all other project specific quality control reports;
• Review shop drawings, material details and other submittals for conformance with project specifications;
• Create a team and ensure that they understand and appreciate all established safety standards in each activity. Weekly QA/QC meetings should be chaired and documented, and written minutes should be provided as specified in project-specific contract documents;
• Provide written daily QC reports to ensure conformance with all project activities, standards and specifications;
• Identify, analyze and rectify any/all non – conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner;
• Ensure monitoring and proper inspection of project materials/equipment in connection to the requirements for QAQC. In the event of any/all substandard deliveries, immediate action, if not rejection, must be undertaken within 24 hours;
• Update/maintain inventory of project materials/equipment;
• Conduct periodic/random inspections to verify that material/s and equipment supplied, and/or work accomplished is in accordance to contract requirements and specifications; Immediately report and/or stop work if necessary, to resolve quality control risks especially those affecting safety and subsequent project activities;
• Ensure implementation, evaluation and improvement of QMS related to your function is being regularly monitored;
• Perform other tasks as may be instructed from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; professional license is an advantage;
• Preferably with 2-3 years of related experience in a construction industry;
• Can work with minimal supervision;
• Adept in preparation of reports;
• Flexible, and service oriented;
• Willing to be assigned at Hermosa Bataan (staff house provided upon deployment); and
• Can start immediately.

8 hour to 10 hour shift
