IT Supervisor

The IT Supervisor will oversee and manage the information and communication technology functions within a retail environment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of POS systems, hardware, and network infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail and Store Opening Support
- Lead IT Support for new store openings, ensuring all technical systems are fully operational prior to launch.
- Collaborate with store management and vendors to align technology solutions with retail business needs.
- Provide training and technical support to store staff on POS systems and hardware.
POS System Management
- Install, configure, update and maintain POS software, including Barter, JIMAC, and Odoo.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to POS software and peripherals such as printers and scanners.
- Manage password resets, email setups, and license tracking for POS systems.
Hardware Setup and Configuration
- Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, POS terminals, and related hardware.
- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and lifecycle management of hardware components.
Network Infrastructure Setup and Maintenance
- Design and implement LAN and Wi-Fi networks for retail stores.
- Manage firewall configurations and cybersecurity protocols.
- Set up redundancy solutions such as dual WAN routers with failover to ensure network reliability.
- Oversee ISP coordination, network uptime monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor ICT support personnel, ensuring efficient operations.
- Maintain clear documentation of network setups, hardware inventories, and POS configurations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 5 years of ICT experience in the retail industry.
- Strong expertise in Barter, JIMAC, and Odoo POS systems.
- Skilled in POS hardware setup, diagnostics, and repair.
- Proficient in network infrastructure deign, implementation, and security.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant IT certifications or a degree in related fields is advantageous.
