Job Summary:

Branch Control Associate is responsible for the monitoring of daily transactions, checking of Journal Entries and other temporary accounts up to closing of books. Informs the branches of any discrepancies and requires them to provide an approved Incident Report.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily :

  • Initiate daily Start-Up for Saveplus 999 account to activate it to current banking day.

  • Reconcile actual Cash in Vault (Branch Cash Proofsheet) vs Saveplus Cash Position vs General Ledger. Maintains Daily CIV report.

  • Reconcile CIV ATM (ACBS) for branches vs General Ledger. Insert online signatures to ACBS reports submitted by CMS Dept which they collected from branches

  • Prepare the daily transaction summary and posting of manual contra entries for float items of branches to the GL system

  • Detailed Balancing of Deposit Liabilities

  • Monitor Pesonet transactions and coordinate with I.T/ branches if there are discrepancies.

  • Ensure that temporary accounts are zero before branches perform counter closing

  • Check and reconcile IOA (Inter Office Accounts) for branches before closing of books (Daily 10:30AM cut-off)

  • Once checking of transactions is done and there is a discrepancy, the BCA coordinates with the BOO and require them to email an incident reports approved by the BM. This is emailed to the BCA's, General Accountant, BOSD Head and the CFO.

  • Ensure branches have counter closed the Saveplus System before finally allowing them to close the branch.

  • Check and verify the account numbers in the IRT (Inter-Office Responding Ticket) for the reimbursements of employees/payment to suppliers before crediting to their respective accounts.

  • Prepare the IRT (Inter-Office Responding Ticket) for Incoming RTGS received from Treasury Dept. Ensure that the account number of client is correct before emailing it to the branches for crediting.

  • Confirms the booked ATM shortages/Overages sent thru email by ATM Center.

Monthly:

  • Preparation and payment of withholding taxes - (peso and dollar)

  • Preparation and balancing of aging of account payables, account receivables and Manager's Checks, Overages & Shortages (Cash in Vault & ATM-branches).

  • DL Balancing (SavePlus vs. GL.Net) before month end closing.

  • Preparation of overages to be transferred to Income (aging is more than 90 days).

  • Generate documentary stamps booked by branches and confirm it with the branches before payment to BIR EDST System.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Education Graduate of any four (4) year degree course in Accountancy, Management, Economics or any Business-related courses.

Experience Preferably minimum of 1 year-experience in Accounting and Finance or related field.
