We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing bookkeeping and financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the company's financial objectives. We are seeking someone with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles in the US. The successful candidate will have experience with US bookkeeping and GAAP and have excellent communication skills.

This position is a night shift position with a schedule of 9am EST - 6pm EST.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate and complete financial transactions.
  2. Complete all tasks related to bookkeeping and financial analysis/reporting.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Perform monthly journal entries and year-end closing procedures with timeliness and accuracy for financial reporting.
  5. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  6. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
  7. Support the preparation of financial reports for management regularly.
  8. Participate in developing and implementing financial systems and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  9. May assist with the preparation of tax returns as needed, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  10. Complete various office administration tasks.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Prior US bookkeeping experience is required.
  3. Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
  4. CMA, CPA or other US accounting credentials required.
  5. Proven experience as a General Accountant in a similar regulated environment.
  6. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  7. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
  8. Experience with Quickbooks.
  9. Solid understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  10. Advanced proficiency and experience in accounting software and MS Excel.
  11. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  12. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  13. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  14. Can work with less supervision.
  15. Can work under pressure and willing to render extended working hours
