Job Description

As a Senior Software Tester, you will develop test plans, execute manual and automated tests, identify and resolve defects, and champion software quality. You will collaborate closely with developers, analyze requirements, and ensure financial technology applications meet global standards.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 4-5 years of relevant experience required
• Role is 90% manual testing and 10% automation
• Extensive knowledge of software testing processes, methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall), and industry best practices
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, etc.)
• Proficiency with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., GitHub Issues, Jira, Zephyr, TestRail) and version control systems such as GitHub
• Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and security testing techniques and tools, such as Postman, Selenium, etc.
• Experience working in Azure with testing and monitoring of cloud-based applications, with exposure to any of the following a plus:
• Azure App Services
• Azure Function Apps
• Azure SQL Databases
• Application Insights for monitoring and log analysis

Your Daily Tasks

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop detailed test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications. Ensure that test coverage is thorough and aligns with both business goals and quality standards.
• Manual and Automated Testing: Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test scripts. Leverage automation tools to increase test efficiency and coverage, while also applying manual testing techniques for complex, exploratory, or ad-hoc scenarios.
• Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects using standard bug tracking tools. Work collaboratively with the development team to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and ensure all defects are resolved prior to release.
• Requirements Analysis: Participate in requirement and design review meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle.
• Regression and Performance Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely impact existing product features. Perform performance, load, and stress testing as needed.
• Quality Advocacy: Promote a culture of quality throughout the development cycle. Provide input on process improvements and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.
