The SAP Software License & Compliance Manager
is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of SAP software licenses across all enterprise environments. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes license usage, manages versioning across SAP landscapes, and collaborates with IT security and procurement teams to maintain audit readiness and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

-Administer and track all SAP software licenses, including procurement, renewals, upgrades, and retirements.

-Maintain a centralized inventory of SAP licenses and entitlements across all business units and geographies.

-Ensure full compliance with SAP licensing terms and conditions.

-Conduct internal audits and prepare for external SAP license audits.

-Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and IT security teams to address compliance risks.

-Monitor and manage SAP product versions across development, QA, and production environments.

-Coordinate with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams to ensure version alignment and compatibility.

-Analyze license usage data to identify underutilized or redundant licenses.

-Recommend license reallocation or consolidation strategies to reduce costs.

-Serve as the primary liaison with SAP account representatives for licensing discussions.

-Support contract negotiations and renewals with procurement and legal teams.

-Develop and enforce internal policies for SAP license usage, provisioning, and decommissioning.

-Provide training and documentation to stakeholders on SAP licensing best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of experience in SAP license management, software asset management, or SAP Basis administration.

-Deep understanding of SAP licensing models (e.g., user-based, engine-based, indirect access).

-Familiarity with SAP tools such as SAP License Administration Workbench (LAW), SAP Solution Manager, and SAP S/4HANA.

-Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, SOC1, ISO and audit processes.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret usage data and licensing metrics.

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

-SAP Certified Technology Associate or equivalent certification.
