
Resource Mobilization Officer

The primary responsibility of the Resource Mobilization Officer is to spearhead and ensure sustainable fundraising efforts to raise funds to support its healthcare, scholarship, livelihood, environment management, emergency preparedness, psycho social support and sports/athletics programs. He/She attends fundraising events, manages the delivery of healthcare services, oversees the distribution of scholarships and grants, conduct of livelihood, environment management, emergency preparedness, and psycho-social support and sports/athletics programs and evaluates the effectiveness of past programs. As the face of the foundation, he/she builds and maintains long-term relationships with strategic partners, prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors; establishes awareness platforms; communicates with the broader public and internal teams, and draws up plans to ensure annual targets of the Foundation are met.
General Responsibilities
· Spearheads Fundraising programs
o Develops and recommends activities and campaigns to raise funds to support the foundation's programs
o Submits post-activity evaluation to assess the effectiveness of implemented programs
o Builds and maintains long-term relationships with key/potential sponsors and donors
o Attends fundraising events
· Collaborates with identified/target leaders or groups of the community to create awareness and increase visibility for the Foundation
o Actively seeks opportunities to speak for the Foundation before local groups
· Assists Finance and Accounting in monitoring and reporting charitable grants/funds established by donors
· Develops and recommends a solicitation plan for identified corporations, organizations/associations and individuals, and calendar of activities to raise funds for the foundation
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in sourcing and raising funds
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Advertising/Journalism or related field
· At least 5 years of work experience, preferably with a Foundation
· Sound knowledge of the charity sector or Familiarity with the concept and purpose of foundations
· Previous experience in sales or marketing also acceptable.
· Experience managing a team.
· Excellent written, verbal, and various platform communication skills. Ability/experience in writing of grant proposals and solicitation letters. Ability to communicate and work with the public
Strong work ethics
REPORTING AND WORK SCHEDULE
• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
· Reports to the Executive Director. Mostly fieldwork and network visits, two days a week may be devoted for deskwork and online networking or coordination, but he/she has to submit weekly accomplishment report to the Executive Director.
