Primary DetailsTime Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to lead a team of learning specialists in developing and delivering high-impact learning solutions to meet strategic and operational business needs. This includes managing supplier relationships, overseeing course delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous learning across the organisation. Additionally, the role involves assessing the future capability requirements of the division, translating this into learning opportunities and enabling effective change delivery, managing governance activities, and ensuring compliance requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction for the learning team to collate development needs for key business areas, factoring in business strategy and change programmes.
  • Create and manage a robust roadmap for capability development.
  • Foster a strong learning culture within the business.
  • Build learning offerings to increase capability in line with business needs.
  • Oversee planning and coordination of strategic learning programmes impacting multiple business areas.
  • Develop a communications and engagement plan to drive development activity across key populations.
  • Maintain and enhance learning platforms and processes to maximise learning experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers to monitor capability development trends.
  • Maintain an understanding of contemporary learning systems, software, and tools for deployment.
  • Manage a pool of high-quality learning professionals to deliver business learning needs ensuring a high standard of design and delivery.

  • Significant relevant experience.

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Developing a culture of learning through optimising systems, processes, content, and communications.
  • Strong understanding of the latest development theory, technology, and suppliers.
  • Experience of capability development in a large organisation.
  • Leading and implementing Training and Development solutions.
  • Development and implementation of people, culture, and capability initiatives.
  • Consulting and delivery of leadership and learning solutions.
  • Experience in fast-moving complex matrix structures.
  • Good business acumen and understanding of large global corporate organisations.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Adult Education / Organisational Development or equivalent.
