Job Purpose, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs financial analyses/financial spreading of assigned accounts' historical audited financial statements for a thorough evaluation of the borrowers financial condition to determine their capacity to meet their financing obligations.
  • Validates in-house financial statements, recasts financial statements, based on financial statement validation guidelines, as part of financial evaluation of Top Tier accounts.
  • Evaluates projected financial statements for term borrowers, sensitizes projected/base case projections and comes up with financial covenants to ensure compliance to proposed repayment terms.
  • Prepares other major sections of Credit Reports (CTSRs) and highlights credit risks to assist the Relationship Managers in facilitating approvals of Annual Reviews of existing accounts and on-boarding of new accounts.
  • Assists the Relationship Managers in preparation and timely submission of various Credit reports such as Account Planning Reports, Interim/Loan Review Reports, Notification Form among others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or any Business-related course
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Business Management (MBM) preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in credit and financial analysis within Corporate or Commercial Banking
  • Strong technical credit writing skills and attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
