GBSS is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Officer – Australian Market to join our growing team. As a Credit Officer, you'll play a key role in evaluating commercial loan applications, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with Australian credit policies. What You'll Be Doing

  • Assess commercial loan applications for property and business lending
  • Analyze Australian real estate valuations and market trends
  • Review and interpret company and business financial statements, including complex structures
  • Apply credit policies, lending frameworks, and compliance standards to decisions
  • Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal teams for clarifications and verifications
  • Prepare clear, accurate credit recommendations for approvals
  • Identify potential risks and recommend mitigations

About You

  • At least 3+ years' experience in commercial lending or credit assessment (Australia market)
  • Strong understanding of Australian property markets and valuation principles
  • Skilled in analyzing company financials and business structures
  • Knowledge of credit policies, compliance, and responsible lending practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
