Position Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Data Analyst / Rent Roll Analyst to join our client's compliance team. This remote, project-based position focuses on analyzing rent roll data, validating tenant income certifications, and ensuring affordable housing properties comply with federal, state, and local program requirements. This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with structured data and maintaining high accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input and validate rent roll and tenant data using Excel-based analysis tools
  • Cross-check tenant income and rent amounts against program limits and certifications
  • Track the collection and status of Tenant Income Certifications (TICs)
  • Identify data discrepancies, missing records, and units out of compliance
  • Generate standardized reports and compliance summaries for internal use
  • Support reconciliation between property rent rolls and agency reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written communication for documenting findings and assumptions
  • Ability to work independently and follow structured workflows and SOPs
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Dropbox, or other secure cloud file-sharing tools
  • Experience with Smartsheet preferred
  • Experience in rent roll analysis, affordable housing compliance, or property management data preferred
