  • Job Description:
  • Ensures that all requirements of Environment, Health & Safety Acts and Regulations are followed
  • Ensures that all employees follow Environment, Health & Safety rules set by the company
  • Ensures the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensures that the requirements in the premise is always safe and hygienic
  • Acts as the document controller of the EHS management systems responsible to facilitate control of Environment, Health & Safety related documents with regards to creation, revisions, approval identification, distribution, and retrieval
  • Represents the employees on environment, health & safety issues to the management
  • Provide feedback form the employees to the management on any changes in the organization that may significantly increase environmental impacts and the risk of the employee
  • Gives assistance to respective department/section heads in the identification of environmental aspects & impacts, safety hazards and risks of the work activities in their areas
  • Works with management and EHS team to ensure establishment, implementation & maintenance of the EHS Management Systems
  • Make safety evaluations of and recommendations for the procedures, equipment, design, installation, and planned operation of all new or revised processes or installations
  • Initiate surveys and inspections of plant/project facilities and practices for applicable conformance with specific and general safe procedures
  • Provide information & assistance to line management for their safety training and information needs
  • Provide specific safety data related to hazardous properties of materials and permissible exposure limits
  • Conduct workplace environmental health hazard surveys & maintains records of actual exposure to hazardous materials & physical stresses. Analyzes & reports results to improve problem areas
  • Act as liaison with local representative from insurance companies and regulatory safety and health agencies including OSHC, DOLE-BWC, DENR-EMB, Local Fire Department and Police Department
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental laws, rules and regulations (e.g., RA 8749, RA 9275, RA 6969 in the Philippines or equivalent.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environment Science, Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial) or equivalent
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer (APCO) Certification from the DENR (or equivalent national authority
  • Must complete 40 hour Basic OSH training SO2/O3
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Experience with ISO 45001 or other safety management systems
  • Work experience in the same field or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in report writing & environmental monitoring
  • Excellent communication and coordination Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergency response
