SAFETY OFFICER TASKS:

  • Investigate accidents
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections
  • Implement OSH program in all Tesco offices
  • Rectify all unsafe workplace conditions
  • Coordinate assistance from the management to the injured worker in case of hospitalization and injury from accidents.
  • Inspects worksites to ensure hazard-free environment
  • Conducts toolbox meetings to ensure all tools and equipment are adequate and safe to use
  • Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
  • Promotes safety practices and enforces safety guidelines at the job site.
  • Performs emergency response drills.
  • Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors.
  • Prepares monthly and annual OSH and WAIR reports.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE at least 2 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer
  • In-depth knowledge of OSH policies and procedure
  • Can implement the OSH program across Tesco offices
  • Must have a mandatory forty hour basic OSH (BOSH) training course applicable to the industry;
  • With complete certificates of HIRAC/Loss Control Management, among others.
  • Proficient in MS Office;
  • Outstanding organizational and negotiation skills to close cases of accidents and hospitalization.
  • Diligent with great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present OSH orientation and create comprehensive incident reports

Pay: From Php22,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

  • SO3 OSH certificates (Required)
