Sales Development Representative

Overview
We are looking for a proactive and organized Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help scale our B2B outreach and build strong recurring relationships with our target markets. This is our founder's first sales hire, so we are seeking someone who is resourceful, confident, and excited to build sales processes alongside leadership.
You will be responsible for generating qualified leads, managing outreach systems, and supporting early sales operations as we expand into industries including landscapers, irrigation plumbers, cabin builders, and homebuilders. Your work will focus on developing recurring partnerships and driving demand for our product installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage outbound outreach through Apollo (email campaigns, sequences, follow-ups)
- Build, qualify, and maintain prospect lists aligned with target industries
- Set up and manage a CRM system to pair with Apollo for full sales pipeline tracking
- Run cold email outreach automation and manual follow-ups
- Conduct light prospecting and research to identify high-quality leads
- Engage potential customers through email, social media interactions, and occasional calls
- Schedule sales calls and hand off qualified leads to the founder
- Track outreach performance, update CRM records, and refine outreach workflows
- Support development of early-stage sales processes and outreach strategies
- Maintain consistent communication and provide regular reports on funnel activity
- Experience in sales development, lead generation, or outbound outreach
- Comfortable using or similar sales engagement platforms
- Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, etc.)
- Strong written communication skills (clear, concise, professional)
- Ability to manage automations, sequences, and structured follow-up systems
- Skilled in research, prospecting, and list building
- Comfortable making occasional calls when needed
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple outreach workflows
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a role with both structure and autonomy
- Experience working with trades or construction-related industries
- Prior involvement in B2B outreach or partnership development
- Familiarity with outbound sales metrics and optimization
- Experience supporting a founder or working in a startup/first-hire environment
