Procurement Promotion Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for cost innovation / cost reduction activity with suppliers thru process / material verification (Cost Analysis, Cost Table, N100 activity, TVP, VAVE) concerning development of New Model / COC and Mass production parts.
• Coordinates with the suppliers / makers and monitor closely all supplier's status, updates, verifies countermeasures and improvement based on plan.
• Conducts audit or checking to suppliers periodically to ensure compliance to standards and conducts on-site visit whenever necessary.
• Closely coordinates with both YMPH internal and external (supplier, maker, overseas branch) for all the required activities.
• Establishes and maintains good relations with suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial business and deals with them as "business partners" and not on a customer-supplier basis.
• Prepares the MBO in relation to superior's / company's goal and objectives.
• Requests quotation and canvassing for new localization parts, make summary and cost comparison to select the best supplier.
• Checks supplier capacity and capability for new localization parts to ensure that supplier can supply YMPH requirements.
• Controls Molds, Dies Jigs and packaging issued to suppliers, setting of budgets for the development on new model.
• Quarterly reporting of cost fluctuation to monitor the cost down and cost up of each part.
• Monitors and checks supplier parts development to secure trial and mass production based on created general schedule.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Industrial Engineering or any related Engineering courses;
• With at least 1-2 years experience in Procurement / Purchasing gained in Manufacturing set-up;
• Experience in handling supplier category in Metal stamping, welding and plastic molding.
• Knowledgeable in Supplier Improvement, MS Applications, Project Management, SCM, Cost Management, Cost Analysis, Cost Control, TVP, Kaizen.
• Basic knowledge in drawing interpretation; QC Tools
