ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the execution of all client accounting services which include accounting, payroll, and compliance administration.

Operations are completely cloud based, and you will work in multiple software platforms that integrate with the general ledger. Your work will directly support each client's operations, empowering their management teams, and supporting their long-term success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute all client accounting workflows. This includes transaction entry, accounts payable management, accounts receivable management, and expense report management.
• Execute all client payroll workflows.
• Execute all client compliance administration which may include 1099s, sales tax, personal property tax, and corporate fees.
• Complete the month-end and year-end close processes for each client by the established deadlines.
• Execute new client cleanup work ensuring the work is completed by the deadline provided.
• Maintain client standard operating procedures and notes for each assigned client.
• Provide prompt service on all client requests.
• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
• At least 3 years of US accounting experience within a US-based accounting services firm
• Prior experience supporting clients in the construction or professional services industries is highly preferred
• Strong background in payroll processing and solid understanding of revenue recognition principles
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO); experience with Rippling is a strong plus
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for effective client interaction
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Proactive in developing, improving, and adhering to structured processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Eager to learn, open to coaching, and adaptable to changing industry standards and practices
