Job Mandate

The Enterprise Systems Delivery department within the IT group is responsible for delivering enterprise applications, including key back-end systems.

As Department Head, you will:

  • Oversee and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of all projects and the maintenance of owned applications and platforms.
  • Develop a full understanding of departmental operations and coordinate across internal units.
  • Manage escalations and ensure timely resolutions.
Duties and Responsibilities

Accountability to IT Group:

  • Understand strategic directions of key business units and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Ensure the assignment of appropriate resources and delivery managers to support business cases.
  • Support service definition phases, including scope validation, requirement development, and delivery ownership identification.
  • Manage escalations from business and technology teams.

Accountability to the Department:

  • Ensure quality delivery of applications and platforms.
  • Manage capacity planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Ensure adequate competency among delivery managers and architects.
  • Optimize resource allocation across delivery teams.
  • Timely escalation of delivery, capacity, or performance issues.
  • Oversee all vendors and solution providers handled by the department.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for all delivery team leads and members.
  • Support issue resolution and risk management throughout execution.
  • Ensure team competency through training and enablement sessions.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree relevant to the role.

  • Experience:

  • 20+ years in application delivery within financial services.

  • 15+ years of specialization in key focus areas of the department.
  • Proven experience managing third-party system integrators and evaluating/managing software vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving integration of multiple technologies.

  • Leadership & Communication:

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster performance and collaboration.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of data architecture, modeling, and integration patterns.

  • Experience designing scalable and efficient data pipelines.

  • Analytical & Team Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility in handling multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
