Job Description

A. Pollution Control and Environmental Compliance

· Monitor and ensure compliance with DENR, EMB, and LGU environmental regulations.

· Prepare, file, and update all necessary environmental permits and reports, including Permit to Operate, Wastewater Discharge Permit, Hazardous Waste Generator ID, SMR, and CMR.

· Conduct regular inspections of pollution control equipment such as scrubbers, bag filters, and wastewater treatment systems.

· Oversee proper segregation, storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

· Coordinate with DENR-accredited waste transporters and treaters for proper waste handling and documentation.

· Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and waste minimization programs.

· Facilitate environmental awareness training for employees.

· Serve as the company's liaison during regulatory inspections and audits.

· Prepare environmental incident and compliance reports as needed.

· Maintain up-to-date files on all environmental permits, test results, and monitoring records.

B. Asset Management and Control

· Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), ensuring accurate tagging and documentation of all company assets.

· Conduct regular physical inventory of fixed assets, including machinery, vehicles, tools, and office equipment.

· Record and monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, repairs, and disposals.

· Coordinate with the Accounting and Purchasing departments to ensure accurate capitalization and cost tracking.

· Assist in asset valuation, depreciation computation, and internal/external audits.

· Ensure that all assets are properly insured, maintained, and safeguarded from loss or misuse.

· Prepare asset utilization and status reports for management review.

· Recommend repairs, replacements, or disposal of obsolete assets.

III. Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, or related field.

· Preferably a DENR-accredited Pollution Control Officer or willing to undergo accreditation.

· Minimum of 1–2 years experience in environmental compliance, plant operations, or asset management.

· Familiar with RA 8749 (Clean Air Act), RA 9275 (Clean Water Act), and RA 6969 (Hazardous Waste Act).

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with asset tracking software.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

· High attention to detail and ability to coordinate across departments.
