THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client, a leader in independent medical examinations and related services, is seeking a Payment Specialist. This key role ensures accurate payment posting and reconciliation, maintains financial integrity, and supports the Accounts Receivable team.

This role follows US business hours, requiring a night shift schedule. The position is full-time onsite, and the employee is expected to report to the office during their shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and process payment log backup files for all vendors.
  • Accurately post payments into Practice Suite, ensuring precision and timely updates.
  • Reconcile payments against bank deposits to ensure the accuracy of all posted transactions.
  • Post the received payments into Practice Suite, and forward remaining balances to AR team for follow-up with vendors.
  • Approve and close unapplied payments.
  • Track unresolved payments on the deposit sheet.
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure the proper allocation of payments.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Proven experience in payment posting or accounting, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting
  • Proficiency in Excel and Practice Suite (or similar software)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering data
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to troubleshoot payment discrepancies and work towards resolution
