PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the managing financial activities to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCE REPORTING

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Present financial reports to Finance Director or to the executive team.

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

  • Develop and execute budgets and forecast.
  • Analyze financial data, trends and performance indicators to provide insights and recommendations to the team.
  • Monitor and manage working capital and financial risk.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professional, including supervisor, and accounting staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional development and collaboration within the finance department.

RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, internal controls, and financial policies.
  • Monitor changes in finance regulation and make necessary adjustments to company practices.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities and financial institutions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of 4-years with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong financial acumen and good understanding of the FMCG Industry
