Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper

Location: Remote (Work from Home)

Wage: $5 USD - $10 USD / hr

Schedule: 20-40 hrs/week

VirtueStaff is searching for a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of our clients and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reported. We are looking for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles, who can work independently while collaborating with our team effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client accounts and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial accuracy
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
  • Utilize accounting software to enter data and generate financial reports
  • Communicate with clients regarding financial accounts and inquiries
  • Ensure all financial operations comply with company policies and regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications (such as CPA or similar) are a plus but not mandatory
